Johnny Parks is the worship leader at Mannafest, a monthly Youth for Christ event held in Belfast's Ulster Hall. The eventm has been running for 15 years and is now attracting 1500 young people with recent reports of hundreds outside in the streets trying to get in.

This emerge album was recorded over 2 monthly events and is
bursting with energy and creativity reflecting what God is doing
with youth in Northern Ireland.

Johnny sees a need for passionate worship music, which expresses our love, and search for God. The passion caught on the recording is something that makes the Mannafest event special. Johnny says “The encouraging thing for me is that in this country, where people are so divided and sensitive around religion and denominations, you get this mass of young people in one huge hall every month and they are all just going for it. Most of them just singing their hearts out and not worrying about denominations and who’s standing beside them. The young people that go are great. They really boost me and allow me and the band
to let it rip”!!

W2, follows hot on the heels of a previous Friends/Langley Vineyard release called The Well: Live in the Spirit. THE PEOPLE'S ALBUMS 3&4

The success of the People's albums 1 & 2 were a very pleasant
surprise. Soul Survivor put out a call for young writers to send in
fresh new worship songs. Hundreds of songs were sent in from all
around the country and all at Survivor were amazed at the high
standard and quality of the songwriting.

Volume 1 features the best of them, with guest vocalists Matt
Redman, Martin Smith (Delirious?), Paul Oakley, Brian Doerksen
and Beth Redman. A collection of fresh worship songs sent in by
young writers from around the country.

Following the success of the first album, Volume 2 was recorded
two years later, again featuring great new songs...with guest vocalists
John Ellis (TREE63), Cath Burton, James Gregory (HEAT),
Vanessa Freeman, Esther Alexander as well as Martin Smith,
Matt and Beth Redman.

On January 18th 2002 SURVIVOR releases these exciting and
creative recordings in a double CD packaged for the price of one!
